Wisdom of AthenaWho these terms apply to
These Bonus Terms and Conditions apply to every promotion, bonus, free spin, cashback offer and reward you take part in with us. They sit alongside our general Terms and Conditions. Where a particular offer carries its own terms, those apply on top of the rules on this page, and the offer terms take priority if the two ever differ.
- You must be 18 or over and hold an account in your own name to claim any offer.
- Offers are limited to one person, one household, one device and one payment method, unless the offer says otherwise.
- We hold a gaming licence and verify the identity of every account holder, so an offer can only be paid out on a verified account.
- Bonus funds and free spins have no cash value until the conditions attached to them have been met.
- Accounts that are self-excluded, on a time-out, closed, or opted out of marketing are not sent promotional offers.
Taking part in a promotion is always optional. If you would rather play with your own money only, you can decline an offer in the cashier or ask our team to stop adding promotional offers to your account.
How to claim an offer
Each promotion explains what you need to do to take part. The steps appear with the offer, in the cashier, or on the promotions page inside your account.
- Sign in and go through the terms shown with the offer.
- Opt in where the offer asks you to, or enter the bonus code exactly as it appears.
- Make a qualifying deposit from a payment method registered in your own name, if the offer requires one.
- Check the cashier to confirm that the bonus funds or free spins have been added.
- Play the games that count towards the offer within the time stated in its terms.
Qualifying deposits and payment methods
Some payment methods are excluded from deposit-based promotions. The methods that qualify, and the minimum deposit needed, are shown in the cashier and in the offer terms. A deposit made before you opt in, or without the bonus code where one is required, does not qualify, and an offer cannot be added to a deposit after it has been processed.
One active bonus at a time
Unless an offer states otherwise, you work through one bonus at a time. If you claim a second offer while the first is still active, it is held in your account, as shown in the cashier, until the active bonus has been completed, cancelled or expired.
Wagering requirements and how your funds are used
Most bonuses carry a wagering requirement: the total amount you need to stake before bonus funds, or winnings from them, can be withdrawn. The multiplier, the amount it is applied to, the maximum stake allowed and the time you have to complete it are all stated in the terms of the individual offer.
| Term | What it means |
|---|---|
| Cash funds | Money you have deposited, and winnings that carry no conditions. Withdrawable at any time. |
| Bonus funds | Credit added by a promotion. Withdrawable once the wagering requirement has been met in full. |
| Wagering requirement | The multiplier set out in the offer, applied either to the bonus amount or to the qualifying deposit. |
| Maximum stake | The highest stake per spin, hand or round allowed while a bonus is active, as shown in the offer terms. |
| Bonus expiry | The period you have to use the bonus and meet its conditions before it is removed from your balance. |
Game contribution
Games contribute to wagering at different rates, and some games are excluded from bonus play altogether. The contribution for each game category is listed in the offer terms, and the game information panel tells you whether a game counts. Stakes placed on an excluded game do not count towards a wagering requirement.
Order of play and withdrawals
Where your balance holds both cash and bonus funds, the cashier shows which funds are in play. If you request a withdrawal while a bonus is still active, the bonus and any winnings from it are removed and the wagering requirement ends. Your own cash funds are not affected, and the cashier confirms this before you complete the request.
Free spins, no-deposit offers and rewards
Free spins, free rounds and no-deposit rewards follow the same principles as bonus funds, with a few differences worth knowing before you use them.
- Free spins are issued for the specific games named in the offer and at a fixed stake value, which cannot be changed.
- Winnings from free spins are usually credited as bonus funds and carry the wagering requirement stated in the offer.
- Unused spins are removed when the offer expires and cannot be reinstated or exchanged.
- No-deposit offers require a verified account before any resulting winnings can be paid out.
Fair play and when an offer can be removed
Promotions are intended for players using them in the ordinary course of play. We may withhold or void a bonus, and any winnings derived from it, where we find on reasonable grounds that an offer has been misused.
- Holding or operating more than one account, or claiming an offer through linked accounts, devices or payment methods.
- Giving inaccurate or incomplete registration details, or failing to complete the verification checks we ask for.
- Staking above the maximum allowed while a bonus is active, or on games excluded from the offer.
- Betting patterns designed to clear a wagering requirement at low risk rather than to play the game as intended.
- Reversed or disputed deposits, or payments made from an account that does not belong to you.
Changes, safer gambling and getting in touch
We may add, change, suspend or end a promotion at any time, including closing an offer to new participants. Changes do not affect a bonus you have already claimed and are working through, unless we are required to make them for legal or regulatory reasons. If an offer is published with an obvious error, we may correct it and adjust affected balances accordingly.
Promotions should never be a reason to spend more than you planned. You can set deposit, loss and session limits, take a time-out, or self-exclude from your account at any time, and the limits shown in your account apply to bonus play as well as to your own funds. Free, confidential support is available from GambleAware, GamCare and the National Gambling Helpline, and GamStop lets you self-exclude from licensed online operators in Great Britain at the same time.
